Our tutors use research-based literacy instruction to build strong foundations in reading and writing, while developing the comprehension skills students need to become thoughtful, confident readers. Our tutors draw from specialized training and research-based approaches—including Wilson Reading System, Orton-Gillingham, and Fundations—to create individualized instruction that helps students strengthen foundational skills, deepen understanding, and make meaningful progress.

Effective test preparation starts with understanding exactly where a student is. Every student begins with a diagnostic assessment, which our tutors use to develop an individualized preparation plan focused on the skills and strategies that will have the greatest impact. Throughout each session, tutors continually assess progress and adjust instruction, while periodic practice tests provide meaningful benchmarks to measure growth and guide next steps. We provide individualized preparation for the ISEE, SSAT, SHSAT, AP Exams, and New York State ELA and Math assessments.
